Traditional Cremation Service

For those who would like a traditional cremation service, we can advise you of all the options available to you. That’s not to say that you can’t still personalise the day, because we can tailor everything to your exact wants and needs.

We’ve been arranging traditional cremation services in Surrey and south west London for nearly half a century, which is why we have such a good reputation in the area. Because we’ll not only talk you through every option available, we’ll also make sure the day runs just as you would like it to and support you every step of the way.

If a particular faith is to form part of your service, we can help to arrange for a Minister – or maybe you already have your own Minister or priest that you know.

If your preference is a non-religious service, we work with a number of talented celebrants/humanists who can help you to plan a fitting farewell.  Some families just want a ‘light touch’ service where tributes written by the family are read out.  Some families want a eulogy style service where a life story is created.

FAQs

How long is my service?

Traditional services are 30 minutes.  Most crematoriums offer a 40 minute chapel time, which allows the crematorium to prepare for the following service.

What is the role of the Minister or Celebrant?

Most traditional services would have a minster of religion oa funeral celebrant for a non-religious service. They would normally meet with you prior to the service taking place and would be there on the day to conduct the service.

What happens to my flowers after the cremation?

Your flowers will be placed on the flower terrace so you will have an opportunity to have a look at these once the service has taken place.

Your funeral director will give you the flower cards and you are welcome to take the flowers home.

What will happen to the cremated remains?

The crematorium will write to you with options available to you. If the ashes are being scatted in the garden of remembrance at the crematorium and you would like to witness this an appointment needs to be made.

You can also collect them from the crematorium yourself or your Funeral director can collect and bring them back into their care.  Lots of people now have keepsakes made from the ashes,  such as jewellery and even a special firework tribute.
