I started working with my father as a funeral operative in Wandsworth and the surrounding areas and worked my way up to funeral manager with various family-run company for 19 years.  I Stared work with Garner’s Funeral Services in 2010, a genuine family run business where families come first all times.  

I believe being a funeral director is not just a job but a vocation.

    We would like to say a big thankyou to Garner's for all the help & professional service my father & I were given when... organising my Mother's funeral. Firstly to Lin in the Ewell office, who was always there to help, guide & comfort us through this difficult time. This was something we hadn't done before, Garners made this much easier than we initially thought it would be.On the day everything was taken care of & the undertakers made sure that the celebration of my Mum's life was made perfect from start to finish.read more

    Garners were so kind and helpful at every step . David was knowledgable about the Hindu culture, really accommodating... and kind on the day itself. Donna talked us through all the other processes so clearly and went out of her way to check we were happy with everything. It was a friend that passed on their details as they helped her through this difficult time and I would certainly do the same.read more

    Garners took charge of my wife’s funeral and I cannot praise them highly enough. Efficient. Professional. Caring. All... excellent. Vicki at Chessington was the person that helped me and was marvelous, on top of the other things I’ve mentioned she also found me the absolutely right person to officiate.Top marks.     Over the past 3 Years we as a family have sadly suffered the loss of both parents & sadly on the 17.01.2021 the loss of... a beloved Dad/husband/Grandad & brother in law Due to Covid 19.After using the same Funeral Directors for both parents we again decided to use their services however sadly after speaking with them we sadly felt that they showed no compassion & we decided to use our local Garners Funeral Service In Chessington.If I could sum their service up in one word it would be " Excellent ".David Oatham the Funeral Director whom I dealt with showed so much compassion & nothing was too much trouble.Three days before the funeral my sister whom had sadly been left a widower decided that she wanted horses to lead the procession & I felt this would be an impossibility at such short notice & a big change to the original plans , however David & the team managed to fulfil my sisters wishes. After ringing around at such short notice they managed to arrange for two of the most beautiful horses to lead the procession & also arranged For The deceased granddaughter to sit on top of the coach & horses & lead the horses to the Crematorium entrance , they also allowed the family members to exit the funeral cars & walk behind the horse & carriage of which to all the family members meant so much & In These unprecedented times.I personally would 100 % Recommend Howard Garner , David Oatham & his Team & would not hesitate in recommending them .Having arranged 3 separate funerals in the last 3 years I must say that Sometimes the Bigger the organisation does not always mean that they will offer a better Service as I feel they may not show the same compassion that you get & of which we most certainly received from The Garner's Team as they went above & beyond.Thank you so much for such a Professional Service Guys you where great.Many Thanks.Wendy White xread more
