I’ve been working in the funeral profession for over 20 years and joined Garner’s Funeral Service 10 years ago. It has been a privilege to help bereaved families. After a difficult experience arranging my mother’s funeral, I felt I could support others with a more sympathetic approach. I saw an advert in a funeral director’s window, applied and my journey began.
The Branch
This was the latest branch to be opened by Garner’s, in 2015. We’re located at 108 Chessington Road, in the small parade of shops between Green Lanes and Ewell West station. Parking is limited directly outside, but there is street parking available nearby.

Garner's Ewell arranged our Mum's funeral, that Mum had the great foresight to arrange a funeral plan in 2018.
Linda in the Ewell office was empathetic and effective, organising the funeral planning , meeting all our specific requests. She recommended a celebrant, Joanne Briggs, who was very very good , helping in everyway and delivering a fitting service that was a true reflection of Mum's life.
On the day of the funeral Kevin , the conductor was excellent, as were his colleagues ensuring that the funeral was dignified and respectful.
At a sad and difficult time they collectively made the whole process seamless and appropriate.
I would highly recommend this family run business to anyone .

Garner's helped us to organise a lovely funeral for my father. Lin in the Ewell office was very understanding and supportive and went above and beyond to make the planning of the service right for us, and making sure that the minister that we used was trusted by the company when the she normally contacted wasn't available on our date. She even came and picked up the clothes for my father to be dressed in personally to save my mother the trip. Any questions we had were treated professionally and sympathetically leading to a well run and beautiful ceremony.

I cannot recommend Garner’s quality of service highly enough. Incredibly professional and caring. We dealt with Lin in the front office who was knowledgeable and thought of everything. Nothing was too much trouble and somehow she knew what we needed before we did. Howard Garner was with us on the day of the funeral and took us through the service and order of things in great detail. He was also incredibly compassionate and respectful. Our entire family was impressed. It is rare to find such a high level of customer service these days. It was so appreciated especially when you are in one of the most vulnerable moments of your life.
